NEW SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
POETRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Poems must be good. Other than that they can be long (within reason) or short, previously unpublished preferred but not strictly enforced. Simultaneous submissions ok (with acknowledgement). The guidelines have been relaxed to include submissions from those other than the dedicated inhabitants of these “mean streets”.
Payment for inclusion is one copy of the journal mailed to the destination of your choice. E-mail submissions preferred. ALWAYS include a brief bio AND mailing address. Please do not send more than 5 poems per submission.
SHORT FICTION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Short fiction must be a maximum of 3,000 words and have a beginning, middle and end though not necessarily in that order. Please do not send more than 3 stories per submission.
ARTICLES/REVIEWS:
We accept submissions of poetry related for poetry issues and short fiction related for short fiction issue up to a maximum of 400 words.
**Submission does not guarantee publication.

HAMMERED OUT #13:
deadline for poetry (surreal/abstract poetry) is OCTOBER 31/07
(for January 2008 release.)
HAMMERED OUT #14:
deadline for short fiction is MARCH 31/08
(for June 2008 release.)
THE ANNUAL SILVER HAMMER AWARDS/ANTHOLOGY:
deadline for poetry and short fiction is JUNE 30/08
(for September 2008 release.)
SUBSCRIBE:
$20/year for 3 issues - $8 for sample copy.

gratefully accepted, anytime (inquire about charitable receipts)
ADS:
reasonable rates…$25 for biz card size space, $60 for ½ page, other sizes and options (ie inserts) negotiable…
